Official religion - Hinduism ! datz my official entry , unofficially wat is my religion? wat is ur religion ? Why is there is so much outcry of superiority ,authority, validity ... of any kind of religion ? Is it just the belief in existence of God and worshipping His teachings or a spiritual guide or just a strong " Belief'" , a "Mystery" , a "Miracle" ... or do u have other definition / explanation ? I really fear Religion when it starts taking some form of Fanatic worshipping and when it springs divide among the people , dividing me as a Hindu, some as Muslim, some as Christians , some as Sikhs and so on .. and finally we all become divided into religious groups and create ideology war among ourselves. Sometimes I feel that even the official division , entries should be done away and there should not be any question on religious status. The great divide in fact is between the poor and the rich , our sole endeavour should be to narrow the gap between these two! Don't u agree that every religion that we claim to belong has a common theme- love, kindness, charity, truth, beauty.... even an atheist who claim not to believe in existence of God do believe in these universal theme of love, kindness, charity....I rather think we better create religious groups based on their preference of these themes. How wonderful it would be to have an official entry of religion and the religion we write goes as , Love, Kindness , Charity, and so on ...instead of Hinduism, Islam, Christianity... Then there would no war of religious ideology, bloodshed, ethnic cleansing, etc. The world would be a better place , a united one with Universal religion. Well, well no offense intended to anyone, it is just a blogger's mundane thoughts . My religion is LOVE for the HUMANITY, God is Love and Love is God, that is all I know. So, watz ur religion????
I stumbled upon this blog of yours while exploring a certain chain of thought. I definitely like your thought and agree that Religion has only festered divide and not unity. However I also think at the very base of it lies the concept of god. This itself so vague that religions have crept up initially, not to divide people, but to try and propagate a particular idea of god. If we have to be non-religious we have to be unified in concept of god which is rather vague. Even love, that you mention synonymous with God, is as much a vague term as there could be any. How would you define love? Again attempts to define it have led to various school of thought and hence the division.
