ENJOY LIFE ..... TODAY !!!

 We keep our alarm on and start the day on a timely basis , hurry to refresh , to take a break for the night's fast , gulp up some stuffs to fill the belly and set out on the day's needs and priorities . The work gets done , the duties well performed , plans are charted and carried out ....  Time flies away and we wrap up things and settle down to relax and pull down the curtains to the special day with only  a few hours left to spend . And finally sleep steals the remaining wee hours. This is one day's cycle that keeps recycling day after day. And we only hurry , hurry with these cycles . What for ? It seems to me like we are eager and hurry to reach our end of our lives missing each and every special moments and bypassing it in our fast and furious race of life. Why not turn the 24 hours a day into a lifetime , a lifetime enough of our existence with every passing second , minute and hours so precious and significant to spend . Instead of hurry and burry attitude , it would be great to relax and absorb ourselves into all little details we get involved in . Wouldn't it be great to begin the day with a beautiful song set as alarm tone to wake us up...freshen up the day with a smile to our near and dear ones , break the fast  and share every bit of stuffs to fill the belly and leave home showing our concern to come back and spend the remaining time so precious with them, wow !!! only then you realise how you long to hold on to every passing moment that will certainly never come back again. Even at work place , there's lot more than of work if we open ourselves to the lives of people around us ! If we hurry , we lose sight of all important things and real taste of life and of people . So, stop rushing towards life .... enjoy every moment to the best ,TODAY !!!

OF ROMEOS & JULIETS

Life is wonderful ! It is ,  where the heart - connect is the driving force of human affairs . A  sacred thread that binds people together and there's  no question and tension  of curruption , power , politics , planning , money ...  free of all so costly and deadly headaches of our very existence. Nonetheless , there are ups and downs in the journey of this valentine road ; many Romeos & Juliets laid down their lives , defied rules and laws , embraced hurts and thorns and faced the test of ages . The irony of life is that people idolize the very idea of romance and at the same time follow what is logical instead of following their heart. Yet , memory lanes fill up everyone's life with the thoughts of  moments immortal . Everyone I am sure are thankful  to those who defined the meaning of a smile , of a unique happiness .... in their lives and even if tears fall , you dedicate every tear drop to add to their joy and happiness ..... 

Walk hand in hand

How far has human civilization progressed? Is it men versus women or is it a collective struggle ? In my opinion it is about evolution of human mind which goes hand in hand with civilised nature . Should we call Great Britain where the Queen rules as civilised ? Or Saudi Arabia for instance where women has recently got its voting right and the fact of limitations and restrictions imposed on the fairer sex . Its strange a women got punishment for riding! My, my ! Am so lucky to be born in secular and democratic India for that matter. In our country , the status of the fairer sex is not dismal but it is not heartening as well . The question of is it a boy ??? always precedes is it a gal ??? Right , yes , I think I m right. I don't want to argue who is better because I believe in individual capability rather than giving a thumbs up to the fairer sex or bringing the guys down . No, not at all, both has to be treated equally . Both sexes have blessed qualities unique to their domain and of course a man cannot become a mother n a woman a father . But neither can be sidelined at  any cost , they are like two sides of a coin ; better half of each other , the wholeness of the family and the driving factor for  progress of  the society. The stereotype mindset of keeping womenfolk in the backseat needs to be done away if our society is to reach heights of civilization. To explain in simple words , when you invest the same  input ,opportunities , time , money , support and encouragement to a young boy n a gal , both will excel and shine in their respective endeavours but if you deprive both of them of all inputs , they are likely to become liabilities and will need support from others . They wouldn't be able to stand on their own feet . So, its not about being a male or a female and its time to evolve the mindset for the progress of our society. Men & women should walk hand in hand . It is time to celebrate the birth of a child without  the anxious question we often ask , '' Is it a boy ? '' Stop giving stress to an expecting mother and let her enjoy her motherhood . A boy or a gal , its God's gift and they are the future . Lets remember , its not men versus women ; it has to be a hand in hand walk of life .

HOTSPOT MANIPUR

Yes , Manipur lies in Indo-Myanmar Biodiversity Hotspot ; again a Hotspot where Earthquake may shake  out our lives ( thank God we are not in a volcanic hotspot )... But I'm not really concerned right now with these scientific aspects . HOTSPOT MANIPUR -  is a title I think which is perfectly proper for our state from a holistic point of view . Why ?? Well , to arrive at this title , positive as well as negative or so to say glories and struggles back up the title. Glories and laurels brought to Manipur by shining personalities of sports ( M C Mary Kom - boxing , Kunjarani - weightlifting, Suranjoy - boxing ....) , courage and valour ( Late Major Laishram Jotin Singh - Ashok Chakra ..... ), art & literature ( many Sahitya Akademi winners ...) , cinema ( Haobam Pawan Kumar - Golden Lotus Award ..... ).... in fact there's no lack of talent pool in our state ; name a trade and search by a click , there will always be a niche carved by Manipuris in this global village . The number may be few but it is on the rise and there is no looking back ! Nature's beauty is endowned with the lushgreen hills surrounding a gem . In fact , the myth of our state being scarce of resources is a folly. Eco - tourism is the upcoming trend of green economy , environment freindly and the best sustainable source of income for a region like ours . The only obstacle is the lack of political will , of the law and order problem of Manipur. The insurgency movement is the root and shoot of hardships faced by the masses , in fact only an end and an answer to this problem ( struggle ) either through political means or peace talks will save this HOTSPOT .  Adding to the misery of the public is the growing divide on ethnic lines . How far the leaders at the top of the heirarchy is enlightened  is doubtful ! Indeed Manipur is too HOT now , it is boiling ; all forms of government would surely burn their hands handling issues of this state . I find it hard to capture people trying to be so stubborn about their ancestry , who is centred on being isolated and preserved ! Well, well haven't you learned that things are becoming INCLUSIVE  and not exclusive . Lets give Manipur the chance to become  HOTSPOT MANIPUR  for good reasons ; for other states, other parts of the world to look up to . .........

Illusion

Its Purnima tomorrow and  the moon is in its full bloom today . It has completely cast away the darkness and spreads a faint , serene whiteness all around ; a perfect moonlight promising to stay all night .  Happiness seems quite like this deceptive moonlight , that shines and soothes for a while but promises to fade away little by little leaving its trail to brighten the dark starry nights . Nonetheless it springs back always just as this lovely moon that takes time to reach its full bloom tracking through the darkness . Its all an illusion :  happiness , sorrow , everything because nothing lasts forever . Life is an illusion . So, wouldn't it be wise to stop complaining to Almighty , be grateful for whatever we have , whatever we are and learn to live in this illusion before it ends . There's nothing absolute in life whatsoever !

Day 1

My first blog in . Thanks to my fren Indira Thounaojam for suggesting me to create my blog . Although I had plans to create it sooner or later , I took shortcuts and kept busy with other social networking sites  and thought about some day , next time  . Some day sometimes never comes , I know. Well, so it was a great day with my fren , had some good discussions ; my blog is one good result . I intend to practice my writing and keep sharing views of LIFE  with you all. Wish me luck and keep in touch .
